Exploring Perspectives

Consider using this tool to analyze a topic or problem in your specific content area or area of interest through a global perspective. As you consider each perspective, ask yourself how easily you are able to answer the questions within each perspective. Is there any one perspective that was more difficult for you to consider or respond to? Were you able to answer all questions easily?

Being aware of our own shortcomings in terms of global perspectives helps us to identify areas of personal growth. Personal awareness is a component to being globally competent. When we are first aware of our strengths and shortcomings, we are more likely to consider other perspectives and how they fit into our own established beliefs.
